my theory is that while those songs were like, beautiful and airy and filled with synths their lyrics were about ruin and collapse and the ephemerality of youth and how being young is fleeting and terrible and shimmering and that was very #2010

TRUE, possibly this is why I also was listening to “The Future” about 500 times a day and PROBABLY has something to do with why I quit law school around then
